Co-sponsorship and Endorsement Guidelines
|

AASLD is occasionally asked to lend its name to educational or scientific programs initiated by other organizations, some of which offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit. AASLD’s participation in these activities varies from full cooperation in all aspects of the project, including development of scientific/educational content and financial support, to simple approval of an independent product.

Organizations eligible to request Sponsorship or Co-Sponsorship:

  • Independent, non-profit, academic medical organizations with multinational or multidisciplinary memberships (e.g., EASL, FASEB)
  • Government health agencies (e.g., NIH, WHO)
  • Multi-national or multidisciplinary groups without a formal societal structure but with recognized international stature whose programs align with the mission of AASLD (e.g., International Committee for Insulin Resistance)
  • Lay organizations, individual universities or departments, and local or uninational societies are ineligible.

The policies set forth the conditions under which AASLD’s name and logo can be used in conjunction with other organizations’ educational programs.
