Chronic Viral Hepatitis – Strategies to Improve Effectiveness of Screening and Treatment

This conference will cover the differences between efficacy and effectiveness of approaches to viral hepatitis screening, care referral and clinical management of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV), and chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections.

Goals and Objectives:

  • Understand the epidemiology of chronic hepatitis B and C

  • Understand the differences between efficacy and effectiveness of approaches to viral hepatitis screening, care referral, and clinical management

  • Understand the role of community engagement and education in viral hepatitis prevention and care

  • Understand the screening and care referral strategies to identify persons with chronic viral hepatitis and mechanisms to refer them to care

  • Understand the models of care that optimize patient acceptance and adherence to therapy

  • Understand the options for clinical monitoring and therapy

Target Audience:
Hepatologists, Gastroenterologists, Primary Care Clinicians, Health Care Managers, Insurers, Public Health Professionals, Policymakers, Industry Representatives and Patient Advocate Organizations 

*Continuing Medical Education credits will not be provided for this conference.
