What’s NEW at The Liver Meeting® 2010

In response to attendee evaluations, a task force led by Dr. Arun Sanyal and comprised of members of the Scientific Program Committee and related committees recently met at the Central Office to examine the current schedule of The Liver Meeting® and to make changes that would heighten and improve the experience for all attendees. Although some changes will not be final until after the abstract selection process in July, we wanted you to know about the following:

New Sessions
-Hepatitis Debrief, Tuesday, 9:30 – 10:00 am
-Transplant Surgery Special Interest Group (SIG) Program, Saturday, 8:00 – 10:30 am
-Some programming developed by the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) will be held on Sunday afternoon, concurrent with abstract sessions

Important Scheduling Changes:
-The Postgraduate Course will start one half hour earlier at 3:30 pm instead of 4:00 pm on Friday
-AASLD Business Meeting will be held on Saturday at 5:15 pm, immediately following the Postgraduate Course
-The CDC Corner will be held on Sunday, 4:30 – 6:15 pm
-The Hepatology Global Update was moved from Tuesday to Monday at 3:00 pm
-The Leon Schiff State-of-the-Art Lecture will now be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am
-The Distinguished Awards will be presented as follows:
 -- Distinguished Clinician Educator/Mentor Award –Sunday, 2:45 pm, followed by the General Hepatology Update 
 -- Distinguished Service & Achievement Awards - Monday at 9:30 am
 
The Liver Meeting® will end at 12:15 pm on Tuesday
