Embargo Policy
Accepted abstracts are made available to the public on the AASLD website upon publication of the special supplement of HEPATOLOGY in advance of the meeting. Information contained in those abstracts may not be released until the abstracts appear on the AASLD website. Academic institutions, private organizations and companies with products whose value may be influenced by information contained in an abstract may issue a press release to coincide with the availability of the abstract on the AASLD website. However, AASLD requires information that goes beyond that contained in the abstract, e.g., discussion of the abstract done as part of a scientific presentation or presentation of additional or new information that will be available at the time of the meeting, is under embargo from release to the general public until 9:00 am EST, November 5.
Information released prior to this day is a violation of the AASLD Abstract Embargo Policy and the abstract is subject to withdrawal from The Liver Meeting® program. Authors are responsible for notifying financial and other sponsors about this policy.
Accreditation
If you are a freelance journalist, a statement from the Managing Editor or equivalent of a trade publication, mainstream media outlet (newspaper, radio, television, etc.), or an online magazine stating that you will be covering the event on behalf of that particular media outlet.
In lieu of such statement, please send us a published story you have written on a scientific, technical, or medical subject. If you are employed full time on an editorial staff, please fax or email us the masthead of the publication.
