The Liver Meeting® Abstract Awards
The top candidates for each award will present their research results at The Liver Meeting® - AASLD's Annual Meeting - and Postgraduate Course and will be designated in the program and the supplement issue of HEPATOLOGY as an award winner. Acceptance of the awards does not guarantee publication in any other AASLD sponsored journal.
Any abstract submitted by a corresponding author meeting the criteria is eligible for the prize consideration. Presentation of the awards will be made at The Liver Meeting®. There are no citizenship requirements.
Student Research Award
Applicant must be a graduate or undergraduate student (i.e. has not received an MD, PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree) and is the primary contributor to the research.
Young Investigator Travel Awards
These awards enable young researchers submitting abstracts for the AASLD Research Workshop to receive travel support. Applicants must be 35 years old or younger and fluent in English. An abstract will only be considered for an award if it relates to the current year's Research Workshop topic.
Fellow Research Prize
This prize is awarded for the best abstract submitted by a fellow.
Pediatric Research Prize
The purpose of the award is to foster excellence in pediatric liver disease research. Only a physician/scientist with a primary appointment affiliation in a department of pediatrics will be eligible.
