International Management Strategies for Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Patients with Advanced Liver Disease

The clinical consequences of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the setting of advanced liver disease remain an important cause of morbidity and mortality. In this symposium, experts representing major hepatology professional organizations from around the world will discuss current management approaches for treating patients with all stages of HCC. Specific topics will include decision-making about the choice of therapeutic intervention for all stages of HCC, approaches to symptom management from HCC and decompensated cirrhosis, and variations in the multidisciplinary approach used for this population based on geographic and health system factors.
