Mr. Anthony Derencius is a certified Physician Assistant and clinical provider at the Texas Liver Institute in San Antonio, TX since July 2017. He also is an affiliate provider for the UT Health San Antonio Department of Medicine and University Transplant Center. His interests include managing complications of portal hypertension and navigation of the multi-disciplinary treatment role for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). His clinical work includes evaluation/management of adult patients with liver disease and optimizing care in a hepatology group practice with access to numerous clinical trials.
Anthony was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. He is a former United States Army medic and a 2010 graduate of the Interservice Physician Assistant Program. He received his B.S. and Masters of Physician Assistant Studies through the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is an awardee of the 2018 AASLD Foundation NP/PA Clinical Hepatology Fellowship. He is currently a member of the AASLD Hepatology Associates SIG and serves on the Membership and Mentorship Sub-Committee.
