If You Want MOC Reported in 2017 the CME/MOC evaluations must be completed by December 15, 2017.

  • Complete CME and MOC evaluations
  • You will need to log into the site using your badge number and email address you used to register for the meeting.
    • To complete MOC evaluations for the Postgraduate Course and Basic Science Symposium, you will be directed to LiverLearning®.
    • Detailed instructions and a helpful handout for claiming MOC are available on The Liver Meeting® Claims Instructions Webpage.
  • The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) asked that for activities to be counted in 2017, to be completed/ reported by December 1, 2017. AASLD submitted all completed activities by December 1 and will continue to report ABP MOC evaluations for any other AASLD activities completed by December 15
    (Reminder: ABP MOC is not available for the general Annual Meeting sessions; only for the Postgraduate Course and/or Basic Science Symposium)
  • The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) asks that for activities to be counted in 2017, to be completed by December 31, 2017. Due to AASLD’s reporting process, we ask that you complete all AASLD ABIM MOC activities you want counted in 2017 to be completed by December 15. Activities completed after this date may be credited towards 2018.
  • AASLD will submit 2017 MOC points on behalf of its learners to ABIM and ABP by December 22. You will receive a confirmation email from the ABIM and/or ABP once the points have been awarded.

Final CME/CE and MOC Deadlines:

CE* Certificate: December 31, 2017

CME Certificate/Certificate of Attendance and MOC: March 15, 2018

  • Certificates of Attendance are also available via the CME evaluation link for noncredit seeking attendees.

    • Requests for MOC after March 15, 2018 will not be honored.

Claim CME/CE Certificates

Successful completion for CME and/or CE credits is defined as having completed the following elements.

  • Attended designated CME and/or CE session(s)
  • Completed the meeting evaluation for the attended CME and/or CE session(s)

When/Where to access CME and/or CE Evaluations*

  • Annual Meeting CME session(s) - Go to the CME evaluation site and complete the meeting evaluation and rate each of attended session(s).
  • Annual Meeting *CE session(s) - Go to the CE evaluation site and complete the evaluation.
  • *CE is only available for the AASLD/ILTS Transplant Course, Hepatology Associates Course and the Postgraduate Course. Complete instructions for claiming CE [PDF]

Once the evaluations are completed, you may print your certificate for your records.

MOC Activities

Successful completion for ABIM and ABP points is defined as having completed the following elements:

  • Attended designated MOC session(s) 
  • Claimed CME for the session(s) (ABIM Rule: MOC points must be equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.)
  • Completed MOC evaluation(s) for attended MOC session (s)

When/Where to access MOC Evaluations

  • Postgraduate Course or Basic Science Symposium – Go to LiverLearning® and click on the Postgraduate Course or Basic Science Symposium MOC Evaluation.
  • Annual Meeting MOC session(s) - Go to the CME evaluation and complete the MOC evaluation(s) for attended MOC session(s).

MOC Deadlines

If You Want MOC Reported by AASLD in 2017, the CME/MOC evaluations must be completed by December 15, 2017.

Note: AASLD submits MOC points on behalf of its learners to ABIM and ABP. Points are not submitted automatically and will not display immediately on your ABIM or ABP MOC Profile upon completion of the MOC evaluation. MOC completions are collected on the 15th of each month and submitted to the ABIM and/or ABP by the last day of the month.

Boards' Acceptance Status of AASLD MOC

The Liver Meeting® 2017 Postgraduate Course and Basic Science Symposium MOC activities have only been approved for MOC points through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). If you are certified by another board you may be able to use your CME certificate for MOC or you may be able to ask for reciprocity (but your board may not grant it).
