Alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD) is the commonest etiology of advanced liver disease and an indication for liver transplantation (LT). Alcohol use disorder (AUD) is present in most ALD patients. The management of AUD during pre- and post-transplant phases is important for optimal selection of candidates for LT listing including improving outcomes after LT. However, data is limited on the ideal model for AUD management and its impact on outcomes in LT candidates.
