NEW! People Affected by Liver Disease Travel Award 

AASLD proudly announces the new People Affected by Liver Disease (PALD) Travel Award for The Liver Meeting® (TLM) 2026, taking place Nov. 5-9 in Denver, Colorado, made possible through the support of Madrigal Pharmaceuticals.  

The People Affected by Liver Disease Travel Award at TLM 2026 will remove financial barriers that prevent people from attending AASLD’s premier global conference in hepatology and will increase access to education, research, and community engagement opportunities for people with liver disease, including Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), formerly Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). Eligibility 

This award is open to the following: 

  • People who are living with liver disease, including MASLD 
  • Caregivers of loved ones living with liver disease, including MASLD 
  • Advocates/emerging advocates who are interested in learning more about liver disease including MASLD, research, or public policy 
  • North American residents aged 18 years or older 

Award Details 

AASLD will offer 100 PALD Travel Awards for TLM, providing recipients with: 

  • Up to $700 USD for domestic roundtrip economy flights to Denver* 
  • Four-night stay in a hotel close to the Colorado Convention Center* 
  • $100 USD per diem for five days to cover food, beverage, and ground transportation* 
  • TLM 2026 patient registration* 

*All travel and registration arrangements will be made through the AASLD Meetings office.
