Biography

Dr. Scherer completed a combined Transplant Hepatology and Gastroenterology Fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine in June 2026, after which he took a position as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. In his work as a transplant hepatologist, his clinical and clinical research interests focus on improving patient outcomes after liver transplantation. He currently serves on the AASLD Training and Workforce Committee.
