Biography

Amanda Cheung, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a transplant hepatologist at Northwestern Medicine. Board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology, Dr. Cheung specializes in liver disease, liver transplantation, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, alcohol-associated liver disease, and Wilson disease. She serves as Director of Hepatology Clinical Trials and Co-Director of the Wilson Disease Clinic Center of Excellence at Northwestern. Her academic work includes leading studies and participating in clinical trials across numerous disease states including Wilson disease, MASH/MASLD, cirrhosis, and liver transplantation.
