Biography
Currently, I am a 3rd year PhD student in the lab of Dr. Anand Mehta at the Medical University of South Carolina. I am apart of a joint program with Clemson University that selects graduate students in the Bioengineering program to work in MUSC-based labs. Research in the Mehta lab focuses on biomarker-based early liver cancer detection, especially biomarkers that consist express glycomic profiles. My research in the Mehta lab focuses on the molecular role of these glycomic profiles in the livers of novel hepatocyte specific FUT8-deleted mice. This research has extending into cataloguing the glycomic, lipidomic, metabolomic, proteomic, and transcriptomic profile of these mice to create a better understanding of fucosylation on the cellular/molecular level
