Biography

After a high-flying, 20-year career as an IT consultant for Ernst & Young LLC and Verizon Business, Beth Lehman faced a life-altering reckoning. Decades of grueling corporate travel had masked a severe battle with alcoholism, leading to a late-2019 diagnosis of advanced cirrhosis and liver cancer. On April 19, 2021, she received a life-saving liver transplant at the Piedmont Transplant Institute—an experience that left her feeling physically and spiritually reborn within hours of surgery. Now a two-time cancer and transplant survivor, Beth has dedicated her new lease on life to revolutionary patient advocacy. As the Principal Strategic Advisor for Sober Livers, she spent 18 months designing the infrastructure and medical professional network to launch the nation's first ALD peer-support group. In 2026, she founded The Liver Circle, Inc., an innovative centralized hub designed to bridge the gap between patients and fragmented healthcare resources through peer support, educational webinars, and liver-healthy cooking classes.A powerful voice in the medical community, Beth has spoken at top-tier transplant centers—including Columbia, Duke, Emory, and VCU—and shapes global patient programming on the Patient Advisory Group for the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). Her grassroots impact is equally profound; she is a two-time Chair for the American Liver Foundation's Liver Life Walks, an active member of the Piedmont Hospital Donate Life committee, and a non-athletic supporter who represented Team Georgia at the 2024 Transplant Games of America. Beth turns her survival into a masterclass on systemic healthcare change and community healing.
