Emily R Perito, MD, MA
Biography
Dr. Emily R. Perito is a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at UCSF in the Departments of Pediatrics and of Epidemiology and Biostatistics. She is Medical Director of UCSF's multi-disciplinary Pediatric Liver Center. She is Co-Chair of the Starzl Network for Excellence in Pediatric Transplantation and helps lead their efforts to improve the efficacy and reduce the burden of immunosuppression for children after liver transplant. She has also advocated for children nationally as Chair of UNOS' Pediatric Transplantation Committee (2022-2024), Chair of the Society for Pediatric Liver Transplant's Advocacy Committee (2020-2023), and a member of AASLD's Pediatric Special Interest Group. Dr. Perito uses epidemiologic and patient-centered outcomes research to improve long-term outcomes after pediatric liver transplant.
