Biography

Erin M. Mann, PhD, MPH, is a researcher in the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine at the University of Minnesota. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health and an MPH from Boston University. Her research focuses on viral hepatitis and liver cancer in global and migrant populations, including hepatitis B screening, vaccination, and linkage to care among refugees resettling to the United States. Her research portfolio spans biomarker research to predict HCC, analysis of urban-rural disparities in HCC in Africa, and community-based work on liver health knowledge and communication. Erin served as Principal Investigator and Program Manager of the National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (NRC-RIM), a CDC-funded initiative from 2020 to 2025 and the foundation for the Migration Health Initiative (MHI) at the Task Force for Global Health. She launched MHI's hepatitis B portfolio, which developed multilingual, culturally appropriate resources for immigrant and refugee communities. She is a 2023 recipient of the de Beaumont Foundation's national "40 Under 40" award in public health.
