Biography
I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. My research focuses on the role of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) signaling in physiological hypoxia and intestinal homeostasis, as well as the contributions of innate immunity, oxidative stress, and host–microbiome interactions to mucosal inflammation. My work explores how these interconnected pathways regulate epithelial barrier function and influence susceptibility to inflammatory disease, with the goal of identifying novel therapeutic strategies.
