Jeffery Teckman
Biography
Dr. Jeff Teckman is the Drs. James and Patricia Monteleone Endowed Chair, Vice Chair of the Department of Pediatrics, Professor of Pediatrics and Biochemistry at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine and Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. He has been involved in research on liver disease for more than 30 years in both basic science and clinical studies. His studies have ranged from viral hepatitis to liver failure in short bowel syndrome, to genetic disease. Dr. Teckman has led several seminal studies of both pediatric and adult Alpha-1 liver disease, and has consulted with pharma industry partners and the FDA. Dr. Teckman has also served the patient community as an advisor, educator, and advocate.
