Manhal J Izzy, MD
Biography
Dr. Manhal Izzy is Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he serves as Director of Hepatology Research and Program Director of the Transplant Hepatology Fellowship. His research focuses on cardiometabolic disorders in patients with chronic liver disease and liver transplant recipients, with a particular emphasis on cirrhotic cardiomyopathy. Dr. Izzy's work has been supported by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and currently serves as an Associate Editor for Liver Transplantation.
