Marco Arrese, MD, MD, FAASLD
Biography
Marco Arrese, MD (Santiago, Chile, 1964) is Professor of Medicine and Head of the Department of Gastroenterology at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile School of Medicine in Santiago. Trained in Chile and the U.S. (Yale University) he is an expert in liver diseases and have focused his research activities in both cholestatic and fatty liver diseases. He has published more than 250 peer-reviewed papers on gastrointestinal and liver diseases in high-impact factor journals and delivered lectures in national and international meetings. He is currently president of the Chilean Society of Gastroenterology and fellow of the American college of physicians (FACP) and the American Association of the study of the liver (FAASLD) as well as member of the European Association for the study of the liver (EASL).
