Michelle T Martin, PharmD, FCCP, BCPS, BCACP

Dr. Michelle Martin is a clinical pharmacist in the Liver Clinic at the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System (UI Health) where she has guided patients through hepatitis C virus (HCV) treatment since 2009. Physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners refer all HCV patients to her to manage via her pharmacist-driven HCV management protocol. She evaluates patients and selects appropriate HCV regimens, links them to specialty pharmacy to gain coverage, and provides HCV education and medication training for all patients who are referred to start HCV treatment. She serves as the patient's contact throughout HCV treatment. She has presented on HCV for continuing education credit at the regional, national, and international level, and she has presented numerous posters and written several manuscripts and book chapters on HCV.
