Mohammad Qasim Khan, MBBS, MS, FRCPC
Biography
Dr. Khan is a clinician-researcher, trialist, and Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and cross-appointed in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of Western Ontario. He specializes in Advanced and Transplant Hepatology. His areas of research interest include: (1) Optimization and Management of Pre- and Post-liver transplant cardiometabolic conditions, i.e. obesity, diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome and allograft steatosis; (2) Steatotic Liver Disease. He is a member of the Clinical Research Committee of the AASLD and previous Committee member of the Clinical Practice SIG. In addition, he is a Steering Committee member of the Vanguard Committee of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS), and the Research Committee of the Canadian Association for the Study of the Liver (CASL).
