Women living with liver disease often have concerns not experienced by men with liver disease. Join experts to discuss women's health among those living with liver disease. Faculty discuss and review the role of estrogens in liver disease; the impact of liver disease in the safe use of contraception and hormone replacement therapy; and pregnancy and family planning.

Objectives

  • Explain the role of estrogens in liver disease.
  • Detail the impact of oral contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy in women with liver disease.
  • Discuss approaches to family planning and pregnancy among persons with liver disease.
