Biography
Dr Lewindon is a senior paediatric gastroenterologist and hepatologist at the Queensland Children's Hospital in Brisbane Australia, the sole tertiary paediatric hospital for the state. Born, studied and trained in the UK, then trained in Australia he has practiced subspeciality gastroenterology including motility, cystic fibrosis, liver transplantation, eosinophilic oesophagitis before establishing the paediatric IBD service in Queensland where he is still clinical lead. He focusses on IBD, PSC and non invasive imaging of both IBD and Liver disease. He speaks nationally and internationally, has held many research grants and published widely on these aspects of care. He has seen the growth and governance of Oral Vancomycin Therapy as an established part of management of children in Queensland with IBD and PSC.
