Biography

Dr. Qing-Lei Zeng graduated from Peking University and obtained his Ph.D. in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. Fu-Sheng Wang at Beijing 302 Hospital.After graduation, he joined the Department of Infectious Diseases and Hepatology at The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, where he successively served as Chief Resident, Attending Physician, and Associate Professor, before being promoted to Professor in December 2022. His primary research interests center on the management and prevention of viral hepatitis, particularly hepatitis B and C. Dr. Zeng has published more than 30 articles in peer-reviewed journals and has received multiple honors, including the 2020 AASLD International Early Career Investigator Award (one of five recipients), the 2021 EASL Young Investigator Bursary, and the 2022 APASL Travel Grant. In 2025, he joined the University of Michigan Hospital as a visiting scholar under the mentorship of Prof. Anna Lok, focusing on liver clinical practice and clinical trials.
