Biography

Dr. Rachel Wen-Juei Jeng, MD, PhD, is Professor of Medicine at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Linkou Medical Center, and Chang Gung University, Taiwan, where she also serves as Deputy Director of the Clinical Trial Center. She is a hepatologist with more than 16 years of clinical experience in the management of chronic viral hepatitis and liver diseases.Her research focuses on the natural history and therapeutic management of chronic hepatitis B, with particular expertise in finite nucleos(t)ide analogue therapy, treatment cessation strategies, and functional cure. She has led and participated in clinical and translational studies investigating hepatitis B outcomes, biomarkers, and host-virus interactions.Dr. Jeng is actively engaged in international collaborations, including serving on the Steering Committee of RETRACT-B. She also contributes to academic publishing as Associate Editor of the Journal of Hepatology and as an Editorial Board Member of Hepatology Communications. She has authored more than 120 peer-reviewed publications and is internationally recognized for her contributions to evidence-based management strategies for chronic hepatitis B.
