Roi Isaac, PhD
Biography
Roi Isaac, PhD, is an Assistant Project Scientist in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at UC San Diego. A molecular and cell biologist, he studies RNA alternative splicing in hepatic myofibroblasts and liver fibrosis. His work identified TEAD1 exon-5 splicing as a driver of stellate cell activation and led to a splice-switching antisense oligonucleotide for cholestatic and metabolic fibrosis.
