Ruby Mehta, MD
Biography
Dr. Ruby Mehta is a physician at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), where she has served for 12.5 years as a medical officer, Lead Physician, and now as Acting Associate Director for Therapeutic Review in the Division of Hepatology and Nutrition. She is board-certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Transplant Hepatology, and completed her fellowship training at the Children's Hospital of Michigan and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Emory University. At the FDA, Dr. Mehta has reviewed and overseen the approval of multiple drugs for liver and nutrition products. She has co-authored FDA guidance documents, published peer-reviewed research, and represented the FDA at numerous national and international conferences.
