Biography

Dr. Umar is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and an Interventional Gastroenterologist at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, TX. She also serves as the Director of the Pancreas Center of Excellence at MEDVAMC. Her area of clinical interest is in pancreaticobiliary diseases, endo-hepatology and endobariatrics
