Suthat Liangpunsakul, MD, MPH, AGAF, FAASLD
Biography
Dr. Liangpunsakul is a Professor of Medicine, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Indiana University. His research focuses on basic, translational, and clinical studies to determine the pathogenesis of alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). He is the principal investigator of research projects funded by the US Department of Veterans Affairs (Merit Review) as well as the National Institutes of Health (NIH/NIAAA). He has authored or co-authored more than 250 peer-reviewed articles. Currently, he serves as an Education Lead for the AASLD Special Interest Groups on ALD and as an Associate Editor of HEPATOLOGY.
