Terry Cheuk-Fung Yip, PhD

Terry Yip is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics and Co-Director (Data Science) of the Medical Data Analytics Centre at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research focuses on chronic hepatitis B and MASLD. He is devoted to real-world big data research to understand the epidemiology, natural history, assessment, treatment, and clinical outcome prediction of chronic hepatitis B and MASLD through rigorous statistical analyses and data analytics. He has over 250 publications in peer-reviewed journals.He was awarded the Early Career Investigator Award in Clinical/Translational Science at the AASLD meeting 2020, the Young Investigator Award at the APASL meetings 2018, 2022, and 2023, and the Best Poster Presentation Award: Viral Hepatitis - Clinical from the EASL Congress 2024. He is now an Associate Editor of the Journal of Hepatology, Statistical Editor of Clinical and Molecular Hepatology, and an Editorial Board member of Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics, and Hepatology Communications.
