Wesam Aleyadeh, MD
Biography
Wesam Aleyadeh is a Clinical Hepatology Fellow at the National Institutes of Health Liver Diseases Branch (NIDDK). His training includes internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease with Dr. Jordan Feld. His research focuses on HCV donor-positive recipient-negative solid organ transplants, porto-sinusoidal vascular disorder and non-cirrhotic portal hypertension, and acute-on-chronic liver failure and medical intensive liver units. He is Lead Content Writer for the AASLD Liver Fellow Network and an advisor to the AASLD HCV Special Interest Group. He holds teaching credentials including completion of the NIH Mentorship Program and recognition as Medical Students' Teacher of the Year and Senior Resident Teacher of the Year.
