Yasmin Ibrahim, MD, PhD
Biography
Dr. Yasmin Ibrahim is a Senior Public Health Program Director at the Hepatitis B Foundation (HBF), whereshe leads the Patient Engagement Program. Her work focuses on assessing patient-reported outcomes(PROs) and quality of life (QoL) among people living with hepatitis B and delta to ensure that care andtreatment reflect outcomes that matter most to patients.She collaborates with global advocates and scientific experts to integrate patient perspectives into clinicaltrial design, drug development, and public health policy. She also helped establish a global CommunityAdvisory Board representing individuals living with hepatitis B, hepatitis delta, and liver cancer.With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Ibrahim has worked to strengthen health systems, improve access tocare, and advance equity in medical research, including projects funded by the FDA's Office of MinorityHealth and Health Equity.Dr. Ibrahim is also an Associate Professor at the Baruch S. Blumberg Institute, where she works to bridgebench science and public health to advance research, policy, and patient-centered approaches.She holds an MD from Ain Shams University in Cairo, an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD inglobal health policy from Brandeis University.
