Biography

Dr. Abdel-Aziz Shaheen is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Calgary. He is a Clinician Scientist and Epidemiologist. His research interests focus on developing new models of care for patients with chronic liver diseases, particularly patients with metabolic-dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease and alcohol-related liver disease. His research program is funded through multiple CIHR, provincial, national, and international grants.
