Béatrice Bailly-Maitre, Ph.D
Biography
Dr. Béatrice Bailly-Maitre is an Inserm Research Director at the Mediterranean Center for Molecular Medicine (C3M) in Nice, France, where she co-leads the "Metabolic Diseases and Cancers" team. Her research focuses on ER stress signaling and IRE1-dependent pathways in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MAFLD/MASH), fibrosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. She trained in unfolded protein response (UPR) and metabolism during postdoctoral work with John Reed (USA) and Jens Brüning (Germany). She is actively involved in international collaborations and scientific societies, including the board of the French Association for the Study of the Liver (AFEF), and is frequently invited to speak at international conferences in liver metabolism and ER stress.
