Being from a very very small rural town in Mississippi, Catarra traveled from her hometown of Ripley, Mississippi to Colorado for more specialized care, which opened her eyes to the challenges many patients face when access to quality healthcare is limited. She became passionate about raising awareness that liver disease can affect anyone-not just those who drink alcohol. Today, Catarra is proud to work with United Liver, using her personal journey to educate and inspire others. She is dedicated to raising awareness that liver disease can have seemingly simple symptoms-such as persistent itching-can be important warning signs that should never be ignored. Through her work with United Liver, she advocates for early diagnosis, better education, and improved access to specialized care, hoping to ensure that others can receive the help they need closer to home. Catarra's story is a reminder that life's greatest challenges can become our greatest testimony, and that through faith, perseverance, and compassion, one voice can make a lasting difference.
