Elisabetta Degasperi
Biography
Elisabetta Degasperi serves as Hepatologist at the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Foundation IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, Milan, Italy. After graduation in Medicine in 2010 at the University of Milan, she specialized in Gastroenterology in 2016 and received her PhD in Clinical and Experimental Medicine in 2020 at the University of Milan.She is actively involved in the outpatient clinic for management of patients with viral hepatitis, with a dedicated focus on hepatitis B and Delta. Her research interests include treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B and Delta, long-term outcomes of patients undergoing antiviral treatment and optimization of new antiviral therapies. She has published real-life data about treatment of chronic hepatitis Delta in Europe and is involved in clinical trials on investigational compounds for hepatitis B and Delta. She is member of EASL and AISF societies and has spoken in International meetings about her research field.
