Biography

Lara is SVP, Head of Research and Translational Science at Resolution Therapeutics, a spin-out of the University of Edinburgh. Her long-term research interest is the role of regenerative macrophages in tissue repair, and how to translate their therapeutic potential to treat chronic inflammatory diseases with a fibrotic component. In her role at Resolution, she sets the Research strategy and oversees its execution to promote the progression of the lead asset RTX001 through the preclinical and clinical stages. Lara also leads Resolution research to extend the use of regenerative macrophages in other therapeutic settings, such as lung fibrosis and graft-versus-host disease. She is author of more than 30 papers on international peer-reviewed journals, and co-inventor on more than five patent family applications. Lara has presented her results at national and international conferences, including at the American Association for the Study of Liver, and in invited talks in the US, Europe and UK.
