Maya Balakrishnan, MD, MPH
Biography
Dr. Balakrishnan is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, a physician-investigator, and staff gastroenterologist at Ben Taub Hospital. Her clinical practice spans the breath of general gastroenterology and hepatology. She is a clinical researcher from the NIH, her research program focuses on health behaviors and developing scalable, effective behavioral interventions for patients with chronic liver disease, with a special focus on medically underserved populations.
