Mohamed El-Kassas, MD, PhD

Mohamed El-Kassas, MD, is Professor and Head of Endemic Medicine and HepatoGastroenterology at the Faculty of Medicine, Capital University, Cairo, Egypt. He is President of the Steatotic Liver Diseases Study Foundation in Middle East and North Africa and serves on several international liver disease committees, including IASL, WGO, AHPBCC, and the Global NASH Council. His academic and research work focuses on viral hepatitis, steatotic liver disease, and hepatocellular carcinoma, with more than 300 international peer reviewed publications and extensive involvement in multinational collaborative studies and clinical research.
