American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the Society on Liver Disease in Africa: A Regional Comparison of Liver Cancer in North Africa and Sub-saharan Africa

Description

Liver cancer is one of the most lethal cancers in Africa. Yet its burden and drivers vary widely across different regions. This series of presentations explores key differences between North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing on contrasting patterns of incidence, risk factors, and outcomes. Through a regional comparison, the presenters highlight these key factors to provide insights into why these differences matter, and how region-specific prevention and control strategies can help reduce liver cancer mortality across the continent.
