Submission Details
- Statement: All submissions must include an author statement explaining the basis for eligibility in the clinician or laboratory-based category.
- Disclosures: Presenting authors are required to submit disclosures. Please collect disclosures before beginning the submission process.
Submission Criteria
Original late-breaking scientific research conducted and submitted after the original abstract deadline of May 28, 2026 will be considered. Abstracts are considered late-breaking if they meet the following criteria:
- Research must be new and of sufficient scientific importance to merit special consideration.
- Retrospective studies are not eligible.
- Submissions should describe either large clinical studies or high-impact translational research that could not be completed prior to the original deadline.
- Clinical studies must be prospective in design.
- Authors must provide documentation for late consideration with the closure date of the study.
- The date must be after March 2, 2026 or 12 weeks before the closure of the abstract submission.
- Phase 1 trials will be considered, but only in poster format.
- Authors must provide documentation for late consideration with the closure date of the study.
- Phase 2/3 trials will be considered for an oral or poster presentation.
- Laboratory-based studies are generally not considered for late submissions and must be strongly justified.
- Authors must explain why the research could not be submitted by the regular abstract deadline.
- Late-breaking abstracts cannot be:
- A revision of an abstract submitted during the regular abstract submission timeline.
- Presented, accepted, or published in any other scientific venue.
