Shawn Wen, MD, MS

Shawn is a second year GI fellow at UCSF. She previously received her BS at MIT, MD at Emory University, and completed internal medicine residency at NYU. She also served as the Health Equity Chief Resident at NYU. She was previously an AASLD Emerging Liver Scholar 2024-2025. She is a current contributor to the Liver Fellow Network's "Why?" Series and will be the Series Co-lead in 2026. She is interested in transplant hepatology, implementation science, health disparities especially among sexual and gender minorities, and medical education.
