Therapeutic Strategies in MASH: Incretins, Metabolic Modulators, and Novel Approaches

Description

This session will examine evolving therapeutic approaches for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis, with emphasis on pharmacologic and mechanistic interventions targeting steatohepatitis, fibrosis, metabolic dysfunction, and cirrhosis. Together, these studies showcase the expanding treatment landscape for MASH across disease stages, fibrosis severity, cardiometabolic subgroups, and emerging therapeutic mechanisms.

Objectives

  • Describe emerging pharmacologic therapies for MASH
  • Evaluate clinical and real-world evidence for treatment effects on liver-related, metabolic, laboratory, imaging-based, and fibrosis endpoints across MASH populations and cardiometabolic subgroups
  • Discuss novel mechanistic strategies for MASH treatment, including antifibrotic, metabolic, incretin-based, and neuroimmune approaches, and their potential implications for future clinical development
