Biography

Transplant surgeon-scientist interested in obesity and metabolic medicine and how they shape liver disease and transplantation. My focus areas include MASLD/MASH and its progression to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma, metabolic risk in transplant candidates, donors, and recipients, and the role of GLP-1 receptor agonists and other obesity therapies before and after transplant. I'm also interested in transplant oncology, tumor immunology, and applying data science and AI to hepatology.
