Does Transient Elastography work to assess fibrosis in kids with NAFLD?

NAFLD is a widespread etiology for liver disease in the pediatric population; however the gold standard for diagnosis, a liver biopsy, is an invasive procedure. This study sought to assess the prevalence of hepatic steatosis and fibrosis in a pediatric population as well as the factors associated with steatosis and fibrosis.
