Biography

My name is Anna Marie Hefner, PhD, RN, CPNP, FAASLD.. Her dissertation is entitled "A Descriptive Study of Nutritional Parameters in Patients with Cirrhosis. She is the Director of Nashville at a community-based liver center. We acknowledge each patient and work with the guidelines set forth with AASLD and the individual goals of the patient. We discussed their plan of action and meet them where they are at using the "HALO" approach-health and liver optimization.
I am a fellow of the ASSLD.
With over 15 years of experience in clinical practice, she has worked with diverse populations and contributed to numerous research projects. She has been recognized for her clinical research both nationally and internationally related to the topic of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver now know as Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis, presenting both oral presentations and posters.
She is member of GHAPP and AASLD.
Dr. Hefner aims to continue research in metabolic disease with emphasis on fatty liver interventions and the underserved communities.
