Biography

Dr. Lizaola-Mayo is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. She is a Transplant Hepatologist and is the Medical Director of the Transplant Hepatology Center at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Dr. Lizaola-Mayo is interested and has focused her research on metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), health disparities and post-transplant outcomes. She is the co-founder of the Metabolic Liver Clinic at Mayo Clinic Arizona which provides a multidisciplinary and personalized approach to patients with MASLD.
