Biography

Dr. Brittany Bromfield earned her medical degree from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica and completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Education Program. She is currently a gastroenterology and hepatology fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Her clinical and research interests include alcohol-related liver disease (ALD), MetALD, MASLD, and obesity, with a focus on the intersection of metabolic dysfunction and addiction. Her work explores genetic and transcriptional drivers of advanced fibrosis, as well as risk stratification and the development of personalized intervention strategies. She is also committed to addressing healthcare disparities in liver disease. Dr. Bromfield is concurrently pursuing a Master of Public Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
