Dr. Ismail Elkhattib is a Transplant Hepatology fellow at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Originally from Egypt, he completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Connecticut. His academic interests include liver transplantation, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), hepatocellular carcinoma, and the gut microbiome's role in immune regulation. He is dedicated to advancing clinical research and improving outcomes for patients with advanced liver disease.
